Registration

 If you are interested in enrolling your child in our pre-school, please download and fill out our registration form by clicking the button below. Once completed, you can either email the form to info@little-friends.org or drop it off in person at our location in Basildon. We look forward to welcoming your little one into our nurturing and educational environment.

Registration Process

At Little Friends Pre-School Ltd, we strive to make the registration process as seamless as possible for new families. We understand that this is an important decision for your family, and we are here to support you every step of the way. Your registration form must be filled in and returned with a copy of your child’s birth certificate either on your child’s induction day or their first session with us.  Any such information received will be treated with the strictest of confidence.

Starting and Settling 

If your child is tense or unhappy they will not be able to play and learn properly, so it is important for parents/carers and pre-school staff to work together to help your child feel confident and secure in the group. This takes longer for some children than others and parents should not feel worried if their child takes a while to settle.

Remember, this may be the first time that your child has had to face a large group of unfamiliar faces, be separated from his/her parents/carers, cope with a strange environment or learn to accept new rules and regulations. You will be required to stay with your child initially for their first two settling sessions (1 hour)  to ensure they have settled before you leave. If, however your child is continually getting distressed and not willing to settle in, it may be that they need additional time with a parent present in the setting or they are just not ready. If this is the case, then we would suggest that you take them out and restart them at a later date, this has always proved to have been successful in the past.
