About Us

Our History

The pre-school was established originally by two mothers in the new town of Basildon in 1970.  We started out in a small hall adjacent to a local church.  We later moved to the Bryn Activity Centre nearby and remained there until 1992 when the centre was closed by the local council.

We were able to rent a classroom in a local primary school, now known as The Willows Primary School.  Due to an increase in pupils we had to vacate the school in 1996.  Fortunately for us the school governors offered us a plot of land within the school grounds to erect a mobile unit.  With much help and investment from the community and local companies, as well as extensive fundraising efforts by the pre-school itself we were able to purchase the premises we are currently situated in.

In September 2009 the pre-school registered as a Limited Company with charity status. Registered Charity No: 1130635 

We are registered with Early Years Development and Childcare. 

Our Aim

Our specially tailored curriculum leads to the early learning goals, and our high ratio of adults to children creates a nurturing environment for learning and play. We believe in the importance of family involvement in group activities and your child's progress. We are dedicated to giving your child the best possible start in early education.
